Tips
Tips to ensure your emails reach their destination
- Don't send large attachments via email. Many email servers enforce size limits and reject emails bigger than 5mb or 10mb. Large mails also clog bandwidth and are deleted by administrators to let other traffic through. Using a free service like Yousendit allows you to put files online and send the link to people you want to have access to it, saving time and duplication.
- Use guaranteed mail delivery solutions. Returnreceipt is one of the many online companies that offer an online version of the post office's registered delivery. It allows you, for a fee, to check whether the email was received as well as additional information too.
- Use a company email address. You have less risk of being blocked as a spammer if you send email using your company email account. Generic email addresses are often filtered out as they are used by spammers to send unsolicited material. Hotmail and Yahoo are the free services that most frequently have their addresses automatically routed to the junk email folder.
